The end of the 6 weeks is approaching, and grades are due at the end of the week. I know some students are in need of extra credit. I'm offering 35 points of extra credit to students who are able to play at pep band at the football game this Friday night and come to our rehearsal Thursday from 1:15-2:15pm. I have talked to them about this in class this week, but I wanted to let you know in case you wanted to attend or offer transportation assistance.
We will be playing at all the Friday games on the list below, and depending on student availability, some of the Saturday games. This is a new program we are starting at East, and we want to see as many students participate as possible.
For this Friday's game, we will be leaving East at 3:15. We have transportation for about 15 students at this point in private vehicles, but you may take your student to the game and meet us there (this will be helpful since I've had 25 students express interest in attending). We need help transporting percussion, so if you have a large vehicle and the availability, please let me know.
If your student is going to come, please respond ASAP with their 1) name, 2)shirt size, and 3)whether they will need a ride to the game or not. Pizza will be provided to students who go to the game, and they will get into the game for free.
I know this game is short notice (our original plan was to have our first appearance be on the night of homecoming). I wanted to have one last grade boosting activity before grades were posted. Please take note of the other dates so your students can participate in the future.
